Seattle Wedding Photographer

I stepped off the airplane after landing in Regina and the cold took my breath away. It never seems to matter that I lived in Saskatchewan for some twenty odd years braving those cold winters, the shock of -32C still hurts a little (and that’s before the wind chill, people). You know when you come across a couple that decides to be married smack-dab in the middle of a Saskatchewan winter, it instantly puts them in a category of their own.

You may remember images from this wonderful couple on my site from when I visited Saskatchewan last fall and did some engagement photos for them. I was thrilled to go back home to share in the excitement of their wedding day.

I met up with Lisa for make-up at Sara Lindsay‘s make-up studio, then over to “The Hotel Sask”  for hair and final touches.

Just before the ceremony we met up with Dale, the handsome groom for some formal couples photos at The University of Regina, then a quick drive over to The Legislative building before we made our way to the ceremony and reception site at The Willow on Wascana, where they made it official, followed by an incredible six course meal complete with a thoughtfully designed wine flight. Just after the ceremony though, we snuck off to Earls, where Dale and Lisa first met, for a couple of fun shots, then back to The Willow to round out the evening with stories, dancing and lots of laughter.
